Projects in Kenya

Kenya

Kenya is marked by stark social inequality. Smallholder farming families in the west of the country struggle with irregular rainfall, depleted soils, and crop failures. The high cost of chemical fertilisers, pesticides, and seeds puts additional strain on their household budgets. Moreover, they often lack access to clean drinking water and have limited knowledge about balanced nutrition and household hygiene. As a result, many children are unable to fully absorb the nutrients from food due to frequent diarrhoeal diseases.

Through sustainable, agroecological farming practices, practical nutrition education, and the protection of drinking water sources, we help strengthen food security in the region and improve the resilience of smallholder families to the impacts of climate change.
